Stone and Pine Gaiwan Travel Set

This elegant travel set is made from Dehua porcelain and features a full tea set nested into a beautiful wooden box and wrapped in a padded cloth pouch. The set consists of a 150 ml gaiwan, 210 ml glass gong dao bei, and three 40 ml cups, as well as a cloth runner (Chá Xí). This set is suitable for use with all forms of tea and is used as a Dry Pouring (Gàn Pào) set, whereby waste water and tea are emptied into the wooden box that stores the set. The lid of the box acts as a base for the gaiwan. When not in use, the set can be stored for travel by nesting each piece inside another, with the cloth runner separating each piece. Once the box is packed, it is buttoned securely inside the cloth pouch and fastened with a simple tie. The gaiwan and cups are decorated with a stone-and-pine motif rendered in the style of Chinese ink painting.
