2025 Pure Brightness Sheng Pu'er (早春曼勒生普洱, Zǎo Chūn Màn Lē Shēng Pǔ'ěr, "Early Spring Man Le Sheng Pu'er") - This tea represents the Mingqian 明前 or "pre-Qingming Festival" harvest of Man Le sheng pu'er. The period preceding the Qingming Festival, or "tomb-sweeping festival", represents the earliest spring harvest. This tea is prized as the cream of the season, with only limited amounts produced per year, with some years producing no Mingqian tea (depending on the weather the preceding year).
The tea plants of Man Le grow in the understory of pine forest, and the shading that the pine trees create makes Man Le teas naturally sweeter and less grassy than sheng pu'er grown in higher light environments. This tea has fewer buds than its Nannuo counterpart, Clear Brightness, and therefore has more body due to a leafier composition.
