3-Foot Pear Yixing Purple Sand Clay Teapot (三尺梨形宜興紫砂茶壺, Sān Chǐ Lí Xíng Yíxìng Zǐshā Cháhú, "3-Foot Pear Yixing Purple Clay Teapot") This charming pot is made of Huanglongshan Zisha (purple sand) clay, and combines the Pear Shape with the three-foot "Ding" 鼎 tripod form. The pear form is the first shape that teapot maker Cheng Zhu mastered, and this virtuosic expression of the classical pear adds three tiny round feet, giving it a cute, chubby appearance. The clay body is porous and smooth with a very find sandy character. At 165 ml, this pot is one of the largest in our current lineup. This pot is suitable for all kinds of teas, especially sheng and shu pu'er, heicha, aged white tea or any pressed tea, as its round belly provides ample space for tea to expand.
