About Us

Our vision is to build community worldwide through tea culture. From the farmers who grow it to the people who serve it and those who enjoy it, tea brings people together.

Our Austin headquarters is a community space featuring indoor and outdoor tea service spaces for hosted tea sits, and our full catalogue of tea and tea ware for sale. The space combines the aesthetic sensibilities of East and West, rendering traditional Chinese furniture in local Texas live-edge cedar.

Monday: Closed

Tuesday-Thursday: 12pm-8pm

Friday-Sunday: 10am-10pm

West China Tea started in 2012 as a specialty importer of farm-direct Chinese tea in Austin. Having built tea culture in Texas for the past decade, WCT now operates a large tea house and offers events, classes, and training, as well as more than 200 different teas from more than 40 different suppliers from all over China. Our goal is to spread tea culture and grow community one cup at a time.
