Cherished Spring Yi Ya Yi Ye Green (珍愛春一芽一叶茶, Zhēn'ài Chūn Yī Yá Yī Yè Chá, "Cherished Tea of Early Spring One Bud One Leaf") - is an exceptional wild Sichuanese green tea from Master Heng Yi. Like his other green teas such as Welcoming Spring and Underworld Orchid, the source material for this tea comes from wild tea plants in the mountains of Mabian in central Sichuan, but using buddier teas from early spring - the Yī Yá Yī Yè "One Bud One Leaf" grade.
Cherished Spring has low astringency with fleeting berry notes on the dry leaf aroma, a creamy mouthefeel with notes of White Rabbit Milk Candy giving way to fresh umami notes in later steepings. Two different guests independently said it reminded them of catching fireflies at night, so do with that what you will.
