Jasmine Fragrance (茉莉花香, Mò Lì Huā Xiāng, "Jasmine Flower Fragrance") is among the 10 ancestral varietals and comes to us from Master A Long of Chaozhou. The dry fragrance is powerfully floral while the wet leaves take on bright hints of tropical fruit. The flavor is of dried apricot and peach cobbler with notes of strawberry ice cream in the cold fragrance and hints reminiscent of dryly floral sake. The huí gān 回甘 ("returning sweetness") is quite pronounced and leaves a smooth coating at the back of the mouth.
