Li Tiao Ultra Violet (離條紫外紅茶, Lí Tiáo Zǐ Wài Hóng Chá, "Straightened Ultra Violet Red Tea") - This is Li Shulin's classic purple red tea, produced from the Zi Juan cultivar of purple Pu'er plants and sun-dried after fully oxidizing. The resulting tea, which we dubbed "Ultra Violet", is one of our perennial favorites and at the top of our list of "party teas." This particular batch of Ultra Violet has been straightened, a process called Lí Tiáo 離條. For some reason, this improves the taste and character of the tea - don't ask us why because we don't know. But the difference is definitely palpable - this straightened Ultra Violet has much more pronounced cacao and dried berry notes than the regular version.
