Rain Butter Shu Pu'er Bing ( 小堆子熟大餅, Xiǎo Duī Zi Shú Dà Bǐng, "Small Pile Ripened Pu'er Big Bing") - This tea is a Xiǎo Duī Zi 小堆子 (“Small Pile”) Shu Pu'er from Nannuo Mountain. Small pile fermentation is a small-scale version of the traditional Wò Duī 渥堆 (“Moistening and Piling”) technique used to produce Shu Pu'er in the factory setting. Using smaller quantities of single-farm tea necessitates modifications in the process to account for the differing dynamics of a small pile. This particular batch is so named because it has a smooth, buttery mouthfeel and an aroma evocative of petrichor, the smell of the earth when it rains. This tea exhibits a potent, grounding, and mature Qi with smooth, robust macadamia and hazelnut notes atop leathery peat and earth flavors. This tea may be brewed espresso thick without becoming bitter.
This standard size bing includes 357g of pressed tea. The base color of the wrapper is brown, indicating that it is a Shu Pu'er Tea. The ring and bat are white, indicating that this tea is made from standard leaf material.

Rain Butter Pu'er
This was a great tea! Smooth and thick mouth feel with zero astringency or bitterness. Notes of earthy soil, mushrooms, wet fall leaves. Pleasant aroma of sweet moss and peat, with later brews even hinting at a little sandlewood. Dark liquor remains clear (not muddy) through multiple steeps. Overall, a comforting Shu!

RAIN BUTTER SHU PU'ER BING
I love this tea, and have bought several times. It's flavor is distinctly pu'er and makes me happy to drink, and share with others. I recommend it!
