Master's Oolong (秋烏貴州烏龍茶, Qiū Wū Guì Zhōu Wū Lóng Chá, "Autumn Dark Guizhou Oolong Tea") - The "Master" of Master's Oolong refers to tea farmer and tea master Lin Laoshi of Pan Ying Mountain in Guizhou. He also produces green and yellow teas using distinctive and idiosyncratic tea processing methods that are traditional to Guizhou. These already have a pronounced floral fragrance, similar to low-oxidation oolongs, such as Baozhong. More recently, he's been experimenting with growing the Tiě Guān Yīn cultivar in Guizhou, and processing it in the Anxi style to produce Master's Oolong. Because it is made with an Anxi breed and processed in the Anxi style, we have grouped it with Anxi Oolongs, even though Guizhou is quite far from Anxi. Maybe one day, people will be making lots of oolongs in Guizhou, or any other region outside of Fujian, Guangdong, or Taiwan...and we'll have a section dedicated to those oolongs! For now, we'll categorize this unique tea here. This is the first, and so far only, oolong that we offer that is produced outside of these traditional regions.
