Song Zhong (宋種, Sòng Zhǒng, "Song Type") - This tea is descended from a plant said to be among the first Song Dynasty tea plants introduced to the Phoenix Mountains. With a stewed guava, goji, and hawthorn berry fragrance reminiscent of a jungle filled with full moon blossom, this tea boasts a bouquet that is at once complex and clear. The tea has an immediate cooling mouthfeel a mildly sweet sponge cake flavor, and texture that melts into a slight herbaceousness with hints of whipped caramel. The Qi feels like a watercolor depicting multicolored light reflecting from the carapaces of a thousand scarab beetles.

Song Zhong
One of the better Dan chong's that i have tasted. Quality of the leaves are excellent. No stems or large amount of broken leaves. Smooth with a hint of lychee or like brown sugar.
