Ancient Lotus Seed Yixing Crimson Clay Teapot (古蓮子宜興朱泥茶壺, Gǔ Liánzǐ Yíxìng Zhūní Chá Hú, "Ancient Lotus Seed Yixing Crimson Clay Teapot") - This tiny 70 ml pot is perfect for a solo session or for sharing your most prized teas. The shape is called "Ancient Lotus Seed" and has a distinctively round, chubby body with a beautiful pour and tight seal. Hand-thrown on a wheel in the traditional Chaozhou style by Master Chen Zhu of Xiao Zhu Xuan studio, this pot is made from the increasingly-rare Zhu Ni "Crimson Clay" of Yixing. We're very excited and grateful to be able to offer these authentic, fully-handmade Yixing clay pots.
Due to the porosity of the clay, this pot should be dedicated to a single type or category of tea. The clay will absorb the flavor and character of the tea and amplify those aspects, improving the tea after many uses.
