We’re excited to have acquired this limited batch of hand-thrown, wood-fired cups by potter Dwayne Sackey of Portland, Oregon. Wood-firing is a prehistoric art that remains dynamic and unpredictable. Many pieces subjected to this process are destroyed. Those that survive are glazed with wood ash from the fire, creating beautiful, dramatic, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each one has been named for a unique quality that it has; sometimes these qualities will be a surprise only to be discovered by the lucky owner.
