Chinese, and by extension Japanese, flower arranging emerged from tea culture. The accompaniement of fresh cut flowers with the tea service led to the art of 茶花 Chá huā "tea flowers"（chabana in Japanese). This small, bamboo 茶花瓶 Chá huā píng "tea flower vase" is ideal for casual arrangements of flowers from the garden. The bamboo tube is hand-wrapped in cordage to prevent splitting and give the piece a rustic charm. Since these vases are made of natural bamboo they are all unique. They average 7"-9" tall.
