Bamboo Flower Vase 茶花瓶

Chinese, and by extension Japanese, flower arranging emerged from tea culture. The accompaniement of fresh cut flowers with the tea service led to the art of chá huā 茶花 ("tea flowers"), or chabana in Japanese. This small, bamboo chá huā píng 茶花瓶 ("tea flower vase") is ideal for casual arrangements of flowers from the garden. The bamboo tube is hand-wrapped in cordage to prevent splitting and give the piece a rustic charm. Since these vases are made of natural bamboo they are all unique. They average 7"-9" tall.
