Nimbus Gu Shu Sheng Coin 雲古樹盛普洱

Nimbus Gu Shu Sheng Coin (雲古樹盛普洱,Yún Gǔ Shù Shèng Pǔ'ěr, "Cloud Ancient Tree Raw Pu'er") This tea has a funny origin story. When we initially recieved this tea, the bag was originally labeled "Ancient Tree Shu Pu'er". Believing this to be a vintage batch of Gǔ Shù(古樹, "Ancient Tree") Shu Pu'er, we excitedly gathered around the tea table to try it. But as we unwrapped and steeped the coin, we quickly realized it was in fact a vintage batch of Ancient Tree Sheng coins and it was phenomenal. Pu'er plants can live for centuries. Tea trees are like vampires: the older they are, the more powerful they become. Ancient seed-propogated trees have deep roots that draw minerals up from beneath the surface, enriching the quality of the leaves. As the trees age, the resulting tea increases in Qi. The Qi of this tea is immideate and ethereal, with soft Daoxian mandarin undertones and a creamy mouthful that presents itself as the coin unfolds.
