Store and transport your bings in style. At West China Tea, we love bings (cakes) of tea. They're beautiful, traditional, and a great way to age tea. They are, of course, extremely difficult to re-wrap securely once they've been opened, and a partial bing can often devolve into a crumbly, wrinkly mess.
We've started sourcing these beautiful and convenient bing sleeves to keep your bings neat, contained, and easy to transport and share. Designed to fit a standard 357 gram bing of tea, they open like a clamshell and zip closed to enclose even the most unruly tea cake. A simple loop handle snaps into place for carrying.
It features a traditional plum blossom motif.

Simple, perfect, quite nice.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do: protect your bing from bumps and bruises while transporting/storing it. I got both of these so that I can take 2 different bings with me while I travel. I'm not sure taking a large wooden stack of drawers or a cabinet would work in my satchel :) Both sides of the short loop unsnap in case you need to remove it completely. It's firm but flexible. The design is nice and elegant and different enough from the other one (red crowned crane) to quickly tell them apart without having to open it up.
